The Techtron Team

Jacqui Kaminer

Jacqui’s passion for IT started at an early age when she wrote her first graphics program at the tender age of 8 on her Apple IIe computer. She has studies various forms of IT from that day on and has had a successful career in the Information Technology industry. Having worked in the UK at a telecoms company and for an IT start-up company financed by the Guardian Newspaper group she then decided to return to South Africa.  Jacqui worked at Kalahari.net (South Africa’s leading on-line retailer) for 4 years where she was responsible for their IT infrastructure. After several years in the corporate world Jacqui joined Techtron Computers and has never looked back. "The great thing about the Techtron Computers environment is the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people.  Each client has their own type of infrastructure and own needs and we need to mold their IT infrastructure to meet their requirements, as such we are constantly  growing our skill set".

Fierdous Samaai

After working in the reception/administration field for many  years I was given the opportunity to join the Techtron Computers family and apply  my skills acquired over the years to broaden my horizons. Starting a new job and furthering my studies in the accounting field is a challenging yet exciting way to start 2011. Since working at Techtron computers I have learned quite a bit and are looking forward to broadening my horizons even more.

Taufeeq de Villiers

My IT career started in 2005 after completing a Computer Technician course I was sent to Old Mutual Head Office in Cape Town to do in service training. Having been impressed with my work I was offered a job and worked their for 2 years. In 2007 I joined Techtron Computers as it was a young dynamic company it gave me the opportunity to delve deeper into the ICT industry and thereby acquire a new range of skills. I was sad to leave Techtron in 2008 but wanted to do a bit of traveling and because of the training I received at Techtron was given the opportunity to work for Vnetworks, a Telecoms company based in London as the head broadband support engineer. As Techtron Computers were still growing considerably after acquiring FoneIT, I was given the opportunity to once again join this energetic team in 2009 after having stayed in the UK for 18 months. The thing I like about Techtron Computers is that it offers clients a one stop solution for their business ranging from VOIP through to domain hosting and internet. This gives clients peace of mind knowing they only have one number to call should an issue arise and enables us to deal efficiently with problems as we can deal directly without having to sit hours on the phone with a third party.

Terence Prins

Terence is 24 years old.  He studied network engineering in 2004 there after he got a job at APS who is a recruitment company for Transnet, where he worked as a data capturer, after a year he left APS to study again, studying Networking Specialist, whilst studying he got a job at Kingsley Technologies doing I.T Support and was promoted as the team leader within the 2 years while working for Kingsley.  He then felt to broaden his horizon and expand his knowledge in the I.T field and applied for a job at Techtron Computers. One of the things he loves about Techtron is the opportunity to learn new skills and the friendly environment at Techtron.
